Dating back to 1834, when it was registered by the Spaniard Ignacio Larraaga, Por Larrañaga Cuban Cigars is perhaps the oldest Cuban cigar brand still producing cigars. The brand over a century and a half later still maintains its renown as a producer of quality cigars. Originally situated at 94 OReilly Street in the Cuban capital, the factory then moved to number 713 on the corner of Carlos III and arbol Seco; it is currently located in the La Corona factory. In 1925, Por Larrañaga became the first factory to make machine-made cigars which soon resulted in a boycott by factory workers
